Adding a Job

A Client can have many year end Jobs associated with it. When you add a new Job, Checkmybooks will automatically assume that you want to work on the year immediately following the Last Review Date for that client.

How to add a Job

Click on the Add Job button from the Clients and Jobs screen.


Select the Client you want to add the Job for from the drop-down list, or just start typing in the box to search the list. If you haven't actually created the Client yet, use the Add New Client? button to do that.


Checkmybooks will present the information for the new Job, based on the details in the Client record and the Last Review Date. Click Next if you are happy with these details.


You will now be asked how you want to get the Client's accounting data for this Job. The options vary slightly, depending on what accounting software the Client uses.
